Cricut Expression Lesson
 

Do you own a Cricut Expression, but don't know how to use all the functions?

 

We are planning a Cricut Expression Workshop on Sunday 11 October from 1:00pm - 3:30pm

 

The Venue will be the Para Vista Seventh Day Adventist church hall (behind Prescott Primary Northern) on Nelson Road.

 

You will need to bring along your own Expression, however all materials to make 4 projects will be provided.

 

The Cost is $25.00, you are welcome to bring a friend, partner, mother, etc at no extra charge. One set of project materials will be provided per machine.

 

The project/functions you will use include:

 

Multi Cut

Endcap

Centre Point

Fit to Page

Real Dial Size

 

You will make the following projects using these functions:

 

Name Plaque (End caps)

Tag Layout (Real Dial Size)

Paper Purse, with embellishments (Multi cut & Fit to page)

Simple Card (Centre Point)

 

 

I will briefly demonstrate the following functions:

Portrait

Fit to length

Line return

 

We will be using the two cartridges that come with the Cricut Expression, Plantin School Book & Home Accents.

January & February 2009
Monday 19 January - 3 Making Memories Slice cards $10.00pp   (If you have a Slice machine, bring it along, however this is not necessary to register for this class, we have two lesson machines available for use)			Monday 26 January –Whimsical Scrapbooking layout  $10.00pp     Whimsical Style Whimsical layouts focus on fantasy, wings, paper dolls, fairies and using your imagination. There is a strong emphasis on curves and avoiding sharp edges. Try using lettering on a wavy line instead of the usual straight lines.  Typical elements used in a whimsical layout include, flowers, fairies, butterfly embellishments (love lots of butterflies) and sheer organza ribbons. Generally pastel colours are used, however, scrapbooking is all about breaking the rules.  Boys have fantasy too, so don’t be afraid to use this style for the boys in your life! Try scrapping a layout using a super hero, pirate or sporting idol theme.

Lessons update 1 March 2009

I am still working on a few of the projects & will update the images shortly.

The Opals Embossing uses a product called Fantasy Film & gives a fantastic opalised effect.
We will be making 4 cards in the Cuttlebug class
The Make Your Own Embellishments will be a fun class, where i will teach you how to make your own embellishment to save costs !! (I have had a blast making these)

Lessons update 26 July 2008

Paper Craft 4 U will now be offering lessons on every second Monday during the day. Drop me an email, SMS or phone if you are interested in attending these new daytime lessons. Also tell us what you would like to learn! For example, paper flowers, card making, scrapbooking etc.

I am also thinking about running a series of scrapbooking lessons on the various styles of scrapbooking over an 8 week period (possibly on Thursday nights or Sunday Afternoons). So many people stick to one style that they are comfortable with, but they want to learn more and don’t know how to go about it. These lessons will be hands on (actually creating a layout) also working with the colour wheel and learning some basic graphic design skills to help you when designing your own layouts. Please contact us if you are interested, I need about 5 committed people to proceed (September – October)
